[ 02 / Visual Identity ]
Marks worth
defending.
Visual identity is the system that makes a brand recognisable and coherent everywhere it appears. We design the logo, typography, colour, and art direction, then the rules that hold them together. You get a system built for scale: the site, the deck, the packaging, and the storefront all read as one brand.
[ Who this is for ]
- /Businesses whose brand looks improvised across touchpoints
- /Companies whose identity no longer matches what they charge
- /Teams producing assets faster than any single designer can police
- /Founders launching something that has to look credible on day one
[ When studios get this call ]
The signals that bring people here.
Every asset looks like a different company
The deck, the site, and the packaging were each designed in isolation. Recognition never compounds because nothing repeats.
The brand undersells the work
The quality of what you deliver is not reflected in what buyers see first. You are being priced on the identity, not the output.
Nobody can produce on-brand work without you
Every new asset routes back through one person for approval, because the rules live in their head rather than in a system.
A repositioning needs a visible answer
The strategy changed. The brand still looks like the company you used to be.
[ How we work ]
The approach.
- 01
Read the brief
We start from the position, whether we wrote it or you arrived with it. If it is not written down, we settle it before drawing anything.
- 02
Build the core
The logo system, typography, and colour get designed together, because they fail together. We design against the hardest applications first, not the easiest.
- 03
Extend the system
Art direction, layout logic, motion where it earns its place, and the secondary elements that carry the brand when the logo is absent.
- 04
Document and hand over
Guidelines written to be used, not admired. Rules, reasons, and the edge cases your team will hit in month three.

[ Which one first ]
Identity or strategy first?
Identity expresses a decision that has already been made. If the position is written, agreed, and stable, this is the right starting point. If your team would answer "what do we stand for" three different ways, the identity has nothing firm to express yet.

Questions we get asked.
How long does a visual identity project take?
Typically eight to fourteen weeks from brief to delivered system, depending on how many applications are in scope and how quickly rounds are reviewed on your side.
What is the difference between a logo and a visual identity?
A logo is one asset. A visual identity is the system that decides how everything else looks, including the situations where the logo does not appear. Buying only the logo leaves every future decision unbriefed.
Do you work with an existing logo?
Often. A refresh that keeps hard-won recognition and rebuilds the system around it is frequently the better call. We tell you honestly whether the existing mark is worth keeping.
What files and formats do we receive?
Production-ready artwork in the formats your applications need, digital and print, plus guidelines. Print collateral is specified for CMYK or Pantone as the job requires.
